Danese Milano Paper Board Display

Archivio vivo is a bookstand that is available in two versions. The first version is freestanding and can be placed on a table or desk whereas the second can be fixed to the wall. The piece is lightweight and practical and was designed so that objects, books or pictures could easily be displayed in any space. In its own unassuming way, the exhibitive function of the object is like something you might find in a museum, but the way it has been designed allows for very free and personal use.

Available in Silver, White & Blue and in 3 lengths - 22.5cm, 45cm & 90cm

James Irvine
Designed by

James Irvine

James Irvine was born in London in 1958 and lived most of his life in Italy. For more than twenty years he was a landmark figure for a whole generation of international designers both on a human and a professional level right up to his premature death in 2013. He started his Italian adventure working for Sottsass Associati and went on to become a partner. Irvine’s design was characterized by geometric formalism and a close attention to the needs of the user, two aspects that are still fundamental to the work of Studio Irvine today. Danese Milano and James Irvine enjoyed a long and intimate creative relationship.
