Alessi was founded in 1921 by Giovanni Alessi. Alessi started with producing a wide range of tableware items in nickel, chromium and silver-plated brass.
Vipp was born out of a need for functional products in the professional market. Since Holger Nielsen made the first Vipp pedal bin for his wife’s hair salon in 1939, Vipp has been making industrial design for the home.
