Innermost Dent Pendant Light or Shade
Dent is a flatpack lampshade by Chak for innermost. It comes in two sizes and a gloss white or metallic gold finish and can be purchased with an innermost ceiling fitting.
Contemporary and uncompromising; the ultimate shiny polished metal shade? Was it hit by a hammer or dropped in the factory; did bullets bounce off it during testing?
Clever trickery makes this resemble pressed or blown metal; when in reality it’s soft, lightweight and comes flat-packed. It takes 30 seconds to put together with no tools and only a few brain cells.
Dent can only be used as a pendant with a E27 or E26 fitting, not on a floor or table base.
The shade can be purchased alone or as a complete fitting with a pendant, ceiling rose & bulb holder in Satin Nickel, 1.8 m cable in clear PVC.

The Designer: Chak graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He completed an internship with Innermost before joining the company as full time designer in 2009 and eventually graduating to a senior designer that works on his own projects and collections as well as those of the external creatives we select.
Chak has a calm, methodical approach to design but often produces radical constructions with a very innovative approach to the application of materials. A creative and talented photographer too; many of the defining Innermost brand images were shot by Chak, including the Innermost Motion Pictures series.
The Brand: Innermost’s rebellious approach to lighting and furniture comes from a shared anarchic pursuit of design freedom, a belief that you have to embrace the absurd in order to innovate. So innermost has innovation and a little absurdity at it’s core; working with designers from all corners of the globe to create beautifully unique products of the absolute highest quality, since 1999.
Back in central London in 1999, Steve Jones and Russell Cameron had a shared vision to create a company utilising their extended experience in design consultancy and furniture design. They had seen plenty of inspired ideas from raw, talented designers that were never being advanced beyond the conceptual. Realising that if they combined their design and manufacturing experience, these concepts could materialise into a unique and diverse range under a single brand. During these early discussions, the stand-out ideas were labelled those ‘close to their hearts’; ‘the inner thoughts; ‘the inner-most dreams’… And so, with a load of ideas, an in-depth manufacturing knowledge and the desire to turn stunning concepts into reality: innermost was born.
