Innermost Panel Pendant Light
Panel came from experimentation with materials and forms that allowed a mix of finishes. The use of both polished and matt surfaces were inspired by contemporary jewellery as well as architectural metal cladding. Steve Jones layers a mix of finishes and forms to create this exciting chandelier with a contemporary feel.
Panel reflects different sections of the interior it is placed in. A statement piece that is available in a wide range of finishes and colours.

The Designer: Steve Jones (CEO & Co-founder of Innermost) studied Industrial Design at Newcastle Polytechnic (now University of Northumbria) from 1988-1992 before starting a career in consultancy in London. He has always advocated diversity as a way to stay on top in design and his own experience has seen him design things as diverse as ladies shoes, books, toys, even an internship in the naval architecture department of Swan Hunter shipbuilders. Later he worked extensively in the furniture industry before moving into lighting and forming Innermost with Russell Cameron in 1999. They wanted to build a company that had innovation at its core and treated designers with the respect and understanding deserving of great innovators. The vision was achieved and Innermost now works with designers and design groups from almost every region of the world.
Jones’s style has seen him not only bring his own designs to the collection but bring in names like Michael Young, Jarrod Lim, Corinna Warm, Stone Designs and Shin Azumi, helping to shape a collection that has breadth as well as depth. His interest in design spans all aspects of material and production and this can be seen in the varied aesthetics of the different Innermost ranges. His involvement in the process is not just a studio based one, it involves knowing production and getting into the factories to study process and consult with those that finally make the designs.
The Brand: Innermost’s rebellious approach to lighting and furniture comes from a shared anarchic pursuit of design freedom, a belief that you have to embrace the absurd in order to innovate. So innermost has innovation and a little absurdity at it’s core; working with designers from all corners of the globe to create beautifully unique products of the absolute highest quality, since 1999.
Back in central London in 1999, Steve Jones and Russell Cameron had a shared vision to create a company utilising their extended experience in design consultancy and furniture design. They had seen plenty of inspired ideas from raw, talented designers that were never being advanced beyond the conceptual. Realising that if they combined their design and manufacturing experience, these concepts could materialise into a unique and diverse range under a single brand. During these early discussions, the stand-out ideas were labelled those ‘close to their hearts’; ‘the inner thoughts; ‘the inner-most dreams’… And so, with a load of ideas, an in-depth manufacturing knowledge and the desire to turn stunning concepts into reality: innermost was born.
