Kartell Lunat Desk by Patricia Urquiola
he Kartell Lunat Desk is a kidney/ lunar shaped desk with a walnut tabletop and black metal legs. Bringing an added dimension to work area this makes the humble desk appear less commercial and more suited to areas where you want to create a more informal work environment. The top is made from walnut whilst the frame is black painted steel.

Patricia Urquiola
Patricia Urquiola was born in Oviedo, Spain. She studied at the Faculdad de Arquitectura de Madrid and the Politecnico di Milano, where she graduated with a thesis having Achille Castiglioni as supervisor. In 1993 he opened an associate studio with M. De Renzio and E. Ramerino, dealing with architectural design, interiors, showrooms and restaurants. From 1996 to 2000 she coordinated the design group of Studio Lissoni Associati. In 2001 she founded a personal studio, devoting herself mainly to design, fittings and architecture.
