Kay Bojesen Skier Figure Datti the Girl

In the late 1940s, Kay Bojesen designed the two happy skiers. The happy skier girl, with red cheeks and big smile, is named Datti, who was the nickname for Kay Bojesen’s sister-in-law Ruth (married to Otto). The male skier, Boje, is named after the nickname of Bojesen’s son, Otto.

The original wooden figures are quite rare as they are only produced in small series. With their cheerful expression, the two skiers always bring a smile to their lips, and with this relaunch are ready to occupy the Danish living rooms and homes again. The two skiers are produced in painted beech wood, in the same way as Garderen.

The skiers measure 15.5 cm in height.
