Alessi Wooden Knife Block K Block

Alessi Wooden Knife Block K Block - Knife block in bamboo wood with book-style opening.

Width (cm): 8.00
Height (cm): 29.50
Length (cm): 21.00

The “K-Block” Knife block was conceived as a rigid case, with two hinged parts that open up like a book. Each part has a slit in the top, where the knife blade is inserted (like a traditional block). The book-style opening means the Block can be kept open during use, making it easier to find the knife you need.

In 2002 Anna and Gian Franco Gasparini founded the Architettura della Comunicazione company, which works in the area of design and on the communication processes associated with it. Their most recent projects are the Langhe Museum in Grinzane Cavour castle, the coordinated image project for the network of Cariparma/Crèdit Agricole bank branches, and consultancy for a number of major companies.

About the brand

Alessi
Alessi

Alessi is a renowned Italian brand that has become synonymous with elegant and innovative design in the field of home and kitchenware. Established in 1921 by Giovanni Alessi, the company has continually pushed the boundaries of conventional design to create products that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.

Alessi's success lies in its ability to collaborate with some of the most talented designers from around the world. Over the years, the brand has partnered with renowned names like Philippe Starck, Alessandro Mendini, and Stefano Giovannoni, among others. These collaborations have resulted in iconic products that blend art with everyday functionality.

One of the hallmarks of Alessi's design philosophy is its attention to detail and the use of high-quality materials. Each product is crafted with precision and a meticulous approach, ensuring that it not only serves its purpose but also stands the test of time. From stainless steel kitchen utensils to eye-catching home décor items, Alessi's range of products spans a wide spectrum.

Alessi's commitment to innovation can be seen in its ability to transform ordinary objects into extraordinary pieces of design. For instance, their "Juicy Salif" citrus squeezer, designed by Philippe Starck, resembles a spaceship rather than a traditional kitchen tool. It is this ability to challenge norms and think outside the box that has made Alessi a trendsetter in the design industry.

Beyond its products, Alessi also places a strong emphasis on sustainability. The brand is conscious of its environmental impact and strives to reduce waste and energy consumption in its manufacturing processes. Alessi believes in creating products that are not only beautiful but also responsible and environmentally friendly.

In conclusion, Alessi has established itself as a leading brand in the world of design, offering a unique blend of functionality, aesthetics, and innovation. With its collaborations with visionary designers, meticulous craftsmanship, and commitment to sustainability, Alessi continues to captivate design enthusiasts and redefine the way we perceive everyday objects.
