Melt Me is a collection of lacquered ceramic objects created by designer Nika Zupanc for Driade. The inspiration comes from pop culture, both in an aesthetic and symbolic sense, and from the idea of freezing a beautiful melting moment in an iconic way, almost as if it were a pictogram. In Nika Zupanc's work, art - cinema, music and literature - becomes a source of inspiration to develop new and surprising designs with a feminine, poetic character and, at the same time, with a strong and absolutely recognisable aesthetic.

Nika Zupanc

After graduating with honour in 2000 at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Department of Industrial design in Ljubljana, the Slovenian product and interior designer Nika Zupanc became a globally recognized name. In 2008 she established her own studio and since works as an independent designer constantly involved in projects that grow out of distinctive interpretations of modern culture, contemporary design and available technological options. Her products are part of the range of distinguished design companies. She also works with prestigious clients on specially assigned interior design projects. Her praised limited edition collections and installations are exhibited around the world, sometimes as part of high-end collaborations like those with Rossana Orlandi Gallery in Milano. Along the way, Zupanc continuously produces objects under her own brand Nika Zupanc and is involved in various projects and exciting iconic collaborations, like the one with Porsche. Extensive body of her works was recently wrapped in a monograph, titled Nika Zupanc: Breaking the Rules, that was published by Rizzoli in September 2022.

The Driade Roly Poly Armchair designed by Faye Toogood is highly regarded for its artistic expression and comfort. It is a standout piece that combines sculptural aesthetics with functional seating.
