born in bruges, belgium in 1969, he got his degree in interior design in brussels in 1992. beginning in 1990 he devoted himself to designing and creating furniture and accessories oriented towards industrial production, combining functionality with beauty, high tech with high touch. convinced that innovation plays a decisive role and must concern the iconographic appearance of the finished product as much as the creative process and the technical-executive implications of design, he pursues his goal of timeless design, both in finished furniture and in interiors. he works, among others, with de padova, driade, elixir, extremis, mdf italia. recently his products were exhibited at the saint-etienne international design biennial, at the international furniture salon in milan, at the “de nieuwe oogst” galerie van het vizo and at the “san’t in buitenland” galerie van het vizo, both in brussels. he has won many international awards, such as first prize for best design object in cologne in 2003 with his “picknick”, and the “henry van de velde 2003 award” (young talent) in 2003.

About the brand

Driade is an Italian furniture and design company known for its avant-garde and artistic approach to furniture and home accessories. Founded in 1968 by Enrico Astori, Driade has collaborated with numerous renowned designers and architects to create unique and innovative products.

Driade has a long history of collaborating with internationally recognized designers, including Philippe Starck, Konstantin Grcic, Patricia Urquiola, and many others. These collaborations have resulted in a diverse range of products that showcase creativity, experimentation, and cutting-edge design.

Driade has produced several iconic furniture collections that have become design classics. For example, the "Tokyo-Pop" collection by Tokujin Yoshioka features sculptural and futuristic seating, while the "Nemo" chair by Fabio Novembre combines a human-shaped form with intricate details. These collections exemplify Driade's commitment to pushing the boundaries of design.

Their outdoor collections include chairs, tables, loungers, and other accessories that feature weather-resistant materials and distinctive design elements.

The Driade Roly Poly Armchair designed by Faye Toogood is highly regarded for its artistic expression and comfort. It is a standout piece that combines sculptural aesthetics with functional seating. For more detailed information, including specific availability and color options, I recommend visiting the official Driade website or contacting authorized retailers who can provide you with accurate and up-to-date information about the Roly Poly Armchair.

Driade's products are sought after by design enthusiasts and collectors who appreciate the brand's unique approach to design and its ability to blend art with functional furniture. The company's commitment to innovation and collaboration has established it as a prominent player in the contemporary design scene.
