Stainless Steel with Black Edge

First debuted in 1969, the Flos Chiara Floor Lamp stands at an impressive 145cm high. A lamp of grand proportions, the highly contemporary Chiara is formed using a single piece of mouldable metal; a stainless steel cut-out, wrapped and closed via riveted hooks. The towering cylindrical body houses the bulb, whilst a large open shade, tilted at 45 degrees, gently guides the light, casting a delicate light over a lounge chair or sofa. Conceived over 50 years ago, Chiara's sculptural silhouette was designed as an apparatus to not only direct light but to reflect it, named after the elegant Italian expression 'to shed light'.

Materials & finishes
Laser-cut stainless steel finished internally with an opaque white plastic film and folded and closed via hooks riveted to the sheet metal. A black seal in extruded TPU runs along the entire profile of the body. The power cable has a dimmer switch to adjust the brightness.
