Innermost Portland Concrete Pendant
Description
Innermost Portland Concrete Pendant
Portland Concrete is a faceted decorative spotlight pendant by James Bartlett for innermost available in 3 different colourways. A design offered in two commonly used construction materials: the rough cast of concrete and the milky smooth purity of plaster. Portland’s pentagonal jewel-like shape is designed to work well in clusters, patterns or lines. A cool, calm, detailed addition to even the most minimally designed interior.
Portland comes with three interior colour options: aqua, red or white; and the plaster version is pure white with nothing added.
James Bartlett is fascinated with materials and what they do and say; when he made Portland in both concrete and plaster he cleverly took one form but allowed the character of each material to finally define the persona of the product and where and how it would be used.
The design works well in clusters when used uniformly in a grid or line.
Easily hand painted on site for easy customisation.

The Designer: James Bartlett studied at Manchester Metropolitan and joined Innermost in 2008 at the London studio and later took the position of Design Manager in Hong Kong. His design is characterised by his interest in material and process – He enjoys being in the workshop to participate in every stage of production.
Jones's style has seen him not only bring his own designs to the collection but bring in names like Michael Young, Jarrod Lim, Corinna Warm, Stone Designs and Shin Azumi, helping to shape a collection that has breadth as well as depth. His interest in design spans all aspects of material and production and this can be seen in the varied aesthetics of the different Innermost ranges. His involvement in the process is not just a studio based one, it involves knowing production and getting into the factories to study process and consult with those that finally make the designs.
The Brand: Innermost’s rebellious approach to lighting and furniture comes from a shared anarchic pursuit of design freedom, a belief that you have to embrace the absurd in order to innovate. So innermost has innovation and a little absurdity at it’s core; working with designers from all corners of the globe to create beautifully unique products of the absolute highest quality, since 1999.
