Kartell Philippe Starck Q/Wood Armchair

Armchair with curved 3D seat shell

The Q/Wood armchair by Kartell is a timeless and elegant chair with armrests, which becomes an eye-catcher both alone and with several people at the dining table. The chair convinces with its soft curves and filigree legs. Q/Wood was designed by Philippe Starck as part of the Smart Wood series. The series includes seats with wooden seat shells, which are optimally bent with innovative 3D technology and thus adapt perfectly to the body.

"With the Smart Wood collection, we have shifted the paradigm. It is no longer a matter of building the structure with wooden elements, but of the wood itself bending and becoming a three-dimensional seat." Claudio Luti (President of the Cartel)

Made of light or dark wood with technopolymer seat shell

The Q/Wood armchair by Kartell consists of a four-legged base made of steel in lacquered or chrome-plated. The seat shell is bent from light or dark wood in a 3D process. The seat is available in solid-coloured, thermoplastic technopolymer in black or white. In various combinations, the armchair adapts individually to every taste and every living situation.

In addition to the Q/Wood armchair, the K/Wood armchair, the B/Wood stool and the P/Wood chair also belong to Philippe Starck's series.
